Dancing Duo FAQ

"Group" or "Public" classes are very budget friendly, and a great way to meet fellow dancers! Beginner classes are held in various venues as well as our home studio (check our calendar for details). What's a beginner? Certainly if you've never danced, this is you! But maybe it's been years since you've danced and you want to refresh the basics; or perhaps you just "didn't get it" the first time through the class. This is the perfect place to start!
"Group" or "Public" classes are very budget friendly, and a great way to meet fellow dancers! Intermediate classes are held in various venues as well as in our home studio (check our calendar for details). How do you know if you're an "intermediate"? Great question! Consider Intermediate classes if you've been dancing certain dances for a while (Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, etc.) and now feel you've "maxed out" what you're learning in your current classes or feel proficient in them. If you're still not sure, hit our contact page and send us a message! We'll be happy to call you and chat!
This is certainly dance-type (Waltz, Cha Cha, Hustle, etc.) dependent! What does that mean? You might have danced Waltz or Hustle for years and are very proficient. So in those dances you might be intermediate! But say you've also never done West-Coast Swing or Samba. Then in those dances you may be a beginner! If you've been dancing certain dances (Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, etc.) regularly but feel you've "maxed out" what you're learning in your current classes, it may be time to consider this level. If you're still not sure, hit our contact page and send us a message! We'll be happy to call you and chat!
Private classes are generally held in our home studio. Why take private lessons? There are many reasons on our private lessons page! Generally they are a great way for only you or you and your partner to work on any dance or dance move you'd like to learn! You can focus on whatever you might have found to be challenging, like turns, Latin motion, etc.. Another benefit is that you can progress at a pace that is comfortable for you!
We understand! There are many reasons to be "solo dancing." All of our public/group dances are open to singles and couples. As both Dave & Donna are in attendance, either one can jump in to be sure you practice with the opposite partner. We often have other singles attending too so anyone in group classes who wants to rotate partners may dance with multiple partners during the class! Have questions? Use our contact form for more information!
