This afternoon at 4 pm, we will teach a nightclub 2 step lesson, starting with beginner steps and moving on to intermediate steps. Partners are not required.

After the lesson, we’ll lower the lights and enjoy a potluck dinner and dancing. We will provide pulled pork, dessert and water. Please bring a dish to share, but large servings are not needed. If you work on Friday but can get off a little early for the lesson, dinner & dance, don’t worry about bringing something, just come on anyway since there is usually food left over.

Donna will have a selection of music for your dancing pleasure.

This 6 weeks we focus on the lovely waltz – a favorite of many. We’ll work on some great steps and some technique to get your waltz moving beautifully around the floor. Part of the hour will be a practice dance where you can enjoy practicing and reviewing your steps on a large dance floor.

To benefit from this class, you should be familiar with the basics of waltz, including the change steps, box, lady’s walk around turn and twinkles.

We’ve had a lot of requests to teach this romantic slower dance. If you are tired of just swaying to slow songs, this may be the dance for you to learn. It suits many genres of music and songs that you just can’t dance anything else to.

This class is currently closed to new dancers who do not know any nightclub. It would be too difficult to catch you up on previous weeks. If however, you already know some basic nightclub 2 step and want to review and polish up your steps, come out and join the class.

We’ll spend enough time letting you practice the steps during class so you should be able to dance nightclub to a whole song by the time you finish the class series.

No experience is needed. No partner is required.
