Plans for Indianapolis Dance Trip to the Elegant Indiana Roof Ballroom – Aug. 9 – Aug. 11

We are planning a group bus trip to the gorgeous Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis. This ballroom is reminiscent of the romantic era of swirling dancers in their beautiful attire, dancing on a huge floor of wood laid in a circular pattern, with a European style balcony, twinkling chandeliers, floor to ceiling velvet curtains, and even a ceiling that can imitate rain, thunder and lightning. A most unique dance venue. (Check out the ballroom at indianaroof.com & be sure to look through their “gallery”.) (We are keeping this on our calendar for interested folks to see it well in advance of the trip date in August.)

Sam Taylor is coordinating this event for us by arranging the bus trip, negotiating discount rates for the hotel in downtown Indianapolis (within walking distance of the ballroom), planning sightseeing, and places to eat. She will accompany us on the trip and handle many details such as getting our hotel rooms pre-keyed for easy & fast check in. We appreciate her planning and organization!

Date: From Saturday, August 9^th through Monday, August 11^th.

Saturday involves travel & group dinner at the Spaghetti Factory (check it out at osf.com/location/indianapolis-in/ )

Sunday involves sightseeing, lunch, dance at 5 pm, & dinner.

Monday involves travel and recuperation.

Price: $449 per person includes round trip bus travel along with snacks (feel free to bring your own) and entertainment on the bus, 2 night stay at the Courtyard, dinner Saturday night at the Spaghetti Factory and dance admission.

If interested:

We’d love to have at least 40 people going with us, but the max capacity for the bus is 50 people.
Those who are interested in going will need to give a $100 deposit to Dave & Donna by Thursday, May 15^th.
You can pay in installments: $175 paid by Sunday, June 8^th (the date of our next American Legion dance) and the final balance of $174 paid by Monday, July 8th.
You can also pay the entire balance of $349 by Monday, July 8^th.
